"I was supposed to start my clinical volunteering in February of 2020, but they shut down the program as soon as COVID-19 started rising. I was heartbroken, and my lack of clinical exposure made me anxious and lost in my path to medical school. HEAL brought back my passion for medicine and my excitement in continuing the pre-med path. The instructors break down each step of their medical evaluation so you will learn a lot about analyzing symptoms, evaluating patient charts, coming up with differential diagnosis, and getting to a final diagnosis. It allows you to really experience what goes on in a doctor's mind during a patient consult, and you get to learn a lot about different diseases, their symptoms and treatments in the process."
